Không dùng đậu nành nhưng Vinamilk Sữa hạt Cao Đạm vẫn đầy đặn đến 9 gram đạm, với công thức sử dụng một nguồn đạm thực vật mới: đậu Hà Lan, kết hợp cùng 6 loại hạt giàu dưỡng chất.
Trên thị trường sữa sản xuất và bán tại Việt Nam, hiện chỉ có Sữa hạt Cao Đạm của Vinamilk được mang tên Cao Đạm với 9g đạm thực vật/180ml (từ 5g đạm/ 100ml trở lên mới được gọi là Cao Đạm).
Quá trình chuyển hóa đạm động vật thường tạo ra các chất có hại cho cơ thể như ure, axit uric, cholesterol,... nếu hấp thụ đạm động vật quá mức. Để đảm bảo cơ thể có đủ lượng đạm cần thiết (khoảng 1,13g đạm/1kg thể trọng người trưởng thành – theo Viện Dinh Dưỡng) mà không dư thừa cholesterol, nên kết hợp đạm thực vật – đạm động vật theo tỷ lệ 70%-30%.
Đậu Hà Lan là một trong số hiếm các loại hạt cung cấp “đạm hoàn chỉnh” vì giúp cung cấp đủ 9 loại amino acids mà cơ thể không tự tổng hợp được, trong đó có leucines, isoleucine và valine hỗ trợ nuôi dưỡng cơ bắp hiệu quả.
